We're hosting a new art exhibit, starting June 12, featuring works by local artist Loralee Grace. Join us for a reception and artist talk hosted on Thursday, June 30, from 6p-8p, with refreshments served.

The Ferndale Library’s Art & Exhibition Committee is thrilled to welcome local visual artist Loralee Grace, who will be showcasing dazzling works in the Community Room throughout the summer.

Grace is a multifaceted artist, skilled in painting, art direction, production design, and wardrobe, but she also takes considerable inspiration from the great amount of traveling she’s done in her life. Much of Grace’s work (watercolor, gouache, and oil painting) captures awe-inspiring natural landscapes with a breathtakingly realistic rendering of sunlight and cloud formation, but then combines those landscapes with a native cultural pattern belonging to that land. The image above depicts a piece titled “Healing Waters,” which will be featured in the exhibition.

We will also feature live music and serve refreshments at this event.
