Our Lower Elementary Book Club for young readers (grades K-2) meets on the first Wednesday of each month. In July, we will be reading/discussing Tia Fortuna's New Home by Ruth Behar.

This will be a hybrid event, meaning that participants can either join us in person OR via Zoom on Wednesday, July 6, at 6:30 pm. In-person attendees will be hosted in the library's spacious Community Room.
Meanwhile, we'll send a Zoom link to those who prefer to join virtually the day before our meeting.  (Note: Zoom participants will not be recorded but will be visible to in-person participants).

Parents/caregivers:
Enter your child's first name with YOUR EMAIL here & let us know a preference for attending.

Are multiple children signing up?
Please fill out the form for EACH child you intend to sign up for this event, using your same email.

Meanwhile, you can place a hold on the book HERE
A poignant multicultural ode to family and what it means to create a home as one girl helps her Tía move away from her beloved Miami apartment. When Estrella's Tía Fortuna has to say goodbye to her longtime Miami apartment building, The Seaway, to move to an assisted living community, Estrella spends the day with her.
