The Reading Rainbow

The Ferndale Library and Affirmations cohost a social club/book club for kids in grades 4-8, meeting on the fourth Tuesday of each month, starting at 6:00 pm in the library's program room.
This is a social hour with a book discussion included. Each month, attendees have the chance to read and then discuss a selected book at the Reading Rainbow; for our meeting on SEPTEMBER 26, we'll talk about Different Kinds of Fruit by Kyle Lukoff.
Kids don't have to have finished (or even started) the book to attend the Reading Rainbow; the rest of the hour is free time dedicated to socializing/crafting/hanging out together.

Drop-Ins are always welcome!
You can pick up a copy of this month's book at the Ferndale Library or place a hold online.
About the book: In this funny and hugely heartfelt novel from the Newbery Honor-winning author of Too Bright to See, a sixth-grader’s life is turned upside down when she learns her dad is trans.
